The Frame Project: A Community Art Initiative

September 3, 2020

The Frame Project is a community art initiative to showcase how residents have been inspired during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Town of Okotoks is handing out 5x7 canvases to residents who will use any medium they prefer to write out a word or phrase that has been inspiring to them. Covid-19 has affected each and every one of us and this community art project will showcase how.

There is a maximum of two canvases per family, and anyone can participate. Canvases must be returned by October 2, 2020, and the Town of Okotoks reserves the right to choose the final canvases included in the art piece.

“This program will allow a creative outlet for the community to come together and share what their experience has been with Covid-19,” says Zach Adams, community event specialist. “We’re going to compile the 5x7 canvases into different framed art pieces full of inspiration and artistic expression.”

If you would like to participate in the program, please email   to reserve your canvas. Once you have been allotted a canvas, you will receive pickup instructions.
