• Summer Camp Recreation Rec Fee Assistance Program Kids Outdoor Fun

The Town of Okotoks values and embraces diversity, and seeks to ensure that all people feel welcome and included. We value diversity by celebrating individual difference, and viewing diversity as multi-layered, with each individual offering unique perspective, experience and ability. We value inclusion by ensuring that our programs and services are inclusive to all people through:

  • Identifying barriers and create opportunities for meaningful participation;
  • Engaging community agencies in program planning and implementation through collaboration and partnerships;
  • Developing policies, plans, programs and services that address the needs of all people within the community.
  • Children with Special Needs/Aides
Children with Special Needs/Aides

Our partnership with Between Friends makes it possible for children with disabilities to attend summer camps and recreation programs. Our camps and programs provide an opportunity to challenge and develop skills, increase self-confidence and enhance community inclusion while creating awareness and acceptance of different abilities.

Please note: all children requiring an aide at school during the year must have an aide accompany them to day camps. Aides must be ready to take an active role in the day camp day with your child (this includes swimming)
