The Okotoks Fire Department is staffed by 20 full time firefighters and 20 volunteer Community Firefighters operating from two stations, and responding to over 1,300 calls per year. The Department is responsible for fire suppression, vehicle extrication, rescue, disaster services, minor hazmat cleanup and providing medical first and co-response when requested by Alberta Health Services in the rapidly growing Town of Okotoks and for a surrounding rural area in the Municipal District of Foothills. Okotoks Fire also provides Mutual Aid to fire services in surrounding communities.
